HIGHLIGHTS SUMMARY
- DHS (Department of Homeland Security) looking to connect US smart grids using Overledger.
- Relationship with Lloyds progresses.
- Quant accepted into the GLBC – Global Legal Blockchain Consortium’s technical committee.
- Overledger to be out with 4 connections to underlying blockchains by the end of September instead of the promised 2 connections.
- Token Burn confirmed for September.
- Low circulating supply of QNT Tokens not a risk, as divisible to 18 decimals.
- More details about Token Usage released: All Users and Developers required to hold QNT Tokens for access to platform. Developers have choice on how to charge for mApps. Client Fee structure / pricing flexible depending on clients needs. Token Usage approach to be finalised closer to mApp Store release.
- QNT Tokens held by all mApp users and developers incl. Enterprises act as license key. Licensing model similar to Apple (Apple ID) or Microsoft for Office 365, only Token-based.
- Gateway available for developers to charge fiat for apps like Apple does. Vouchers a possibility.
- Rebranding on track. New website with more content to be released.
- Quant already developing mApps for customers. Infrastructure and Middleware mApps to be released this year. New products to include multi-chain identity-as-a-service, firewall, private devnet, and GoVerify.
- Quant Labs created for research purposes as a safe place to run experiments, try new product ideas, including cybersecurity products, middleware, etc., and to run private Blockchains locally to test things at scale.
- Experiment conducted to connect Red Belly blockchain (still academic) with Overledger. Red Belly can do 600’000 transactions per second. Will probably be connected later this year / early next year, and the commercial implementation will most likely be in 1st half of next year. Quant could be the catalyst for Red Belly to become mainstream.
- Corda and IOTA may be next to be connected to Overledger.
- Anyone can build their own Overledger connectors to any blockchain that Quant hasn’t connected yet. All connectors built by Quant will be open source.

AMA DISCLAIMER
This AMA were manually compiled, highlighted, and summarised for making the information easily available.
All highlight summary points are linked to the corresponding messages in the AMA compilation and all messages in the AMA compilation are linked back to their corresponding message in Telegram. To see all available information, you may want to visit Telegram directly. Keep in mind that any message on Telegram may have been edited or deleted over time, though it is probably rare. There's a possibility that you may therefore not find its' unedited version (although you would see if it has been edited or not) or you may not find a message at all
The authors have done their best to provide all relevant information as complete and accurate as possible, but like any manual task, human error can happen and how an AMA is compiled, highlighted, and summarised is open to the author's interpretation. For example, If a specific question isn’t mentioned in an answer, the author may have assumed a question to be related, based on the context. QNTunofficial makes no claim that all information on this page is complete or correct.
In the AMA compilation you may sometimes find the message "No Question was found" in place of a question. This could mean one of two things: 1) the author did not know which question the answer was referring to or 2) the message was deleted on Telegram prior to compiling this AMA.
