Question(s):

"Has Quant considered scraping the rent-seeking transaction fee model for a two tiered tokenomics scheme? Perhaps, say, staking a token to generate fuel over time in order to rate-limit Overledger access and funnel value into QNT?"

Thank you for sharing. This is a very interesting approach and something we're considering for the Treasury. There's a lot to figure out on how to do build it come economically and technically, so still work in progress and and a focus for us.

Question(s):

"Could you provide a little insight into how the tokenomics are going to work? I understand that the amount to charge users to access the platform is still being determined however wondered whether you could provide an overview of your thoughts to how it would work? I assume the options are either require users to hold a certain amount of tokens. i.e similar to Stellar which require you to hold 0.5 lumens or having a value determined by fiat say $10 and have to hold equivilant worth of QNT. The problem i personally see with both is the low total supply which in the case of holding a certain amount of tokens could increase the cost to access the platform signifcantly and may create barriers of entry for users and devs wanting to create apps on the platform and if its based to a fiat value the amount of tokens required could vary wildly and so if the price falls sharply then you would have insufficient tokens and lose access to the platform." - (This is slightly reptitive, sorry)

Good question. This is what we're focused on as it's a new economic model and way to do things. We have been thinking for people to hold $x of QNT to access the platform/run the MApps. We want it to be market driven and set by the developers. Tooearly to solidify now but it's in our meetings every week.

Question(s):

"Question for AMA: If I make a MAPP, which utilizes 4 different chains. This mean, I will ve to pay in QNT for MAPP and then I (or the user) will be paying for other chains for each transactions. Is this correct? or Overledger will handle it itself?"

Answer(s):

No, you don't pay in QNT to buy the MApp... QNT is never a payment/currency. It's a utility to access the platform and run the MApp. You pay in FIAT and possibly in other crypto (ETH/BTC) through a frontent payment processor. To write to the destination chains you would need that chain's gas fees just like you would when directly interacting with it. We're making the process more streamlined and easier to use for developers.

Question(s):

My question is if the release of the Code is on track and when its going to be open source 🙂

Question(s):

"When are you expecting to hear whether your patent application has been successfull or not?"

Answer(s):

Luke
"When are you expecting to hear whether your patent application has been successfull or not?"
We met with out Patent Attorney last week. It takes time, we'll know when our filing will be granted in Summer 2019 for the EU one, plus we are working on filings for other jurisdictions now.

Question(s):

Answer(s):

Luke
"Any updates on the DHS discussions?"
Still ongoing. Government takes a long time

Question(s):

My question is with Hyperledger integration. Stellar XLM is associated at times with Hyperledger Fabric when used by IBM. Will your connectors connect with Stellar's DEX as well? Stellar is looking to tokenize everything, & acquired Chain. Thinking it may be useful to 'connect' the DEXS somehow. Can mApps connect DEXs?

Stellar is on our radar to connect next as it's a fork of Ripple - should be easy as we've done Ripple already.

Question(s):

I would really like to hear more about partnerships!!😁

Answer(s):

Anthonius_Loyakk
I would really like to hear more about partnerships!!😁
We have seen a lot of fake partnerships or ones that amount to nothing with a partner that's not reputable. We're not doing that and only working with enterprises that can help us achieve our goals. Also the word is used interchangably with clients - which is confusing. We will announce partnerships and clients only when both parties are in acceptance and both can publicly talk about it.

No, no real harmony to use Overledger for ARC

Question(s):

Do you foresee an ability to use a mApp to create an exchange overlaying other DEX's such as IDEX & SDEX to increase liquidity for the user and getting the best market twice between each DEX? I need to brush up more on mApps

Yes that has been on our radar from the very benginning to create a a true Decentralised Exchange on top of Overledger. It needs the right regulatory licenses and approval. Something possibly we can do ourselves in the future.

Question(s):

Quant Network
DEX Waves or Dex.top ?
Sorry let me rephrase that. I ment if you are planning to create an exchange on top of overledger.

We want to. Needs a lot of capital and regulatory licenses to run an exchange. We're exploring what needs to be done.

This would be huge for the DEX market. If it's compatible with your strategy, possibly reach out to Ms. Nestor (partnerships) from Stellar or other team members. Will QNT remain on Ethereum or will it be moved to its own blockchain? Still wrapping my head around it

Can Overledger connect VMs to each other? (send data,tx to another VM)
Yes, We can in theory. Haven't tested it in our labs yet. As long as the VM is on the 4 blockchains we're connected to we should be able to.

You know, we're in a good place right now. Had some technical issues in DevOps around infrastructure but we've sorted it out.

Luke
What is the biggest challenge you and the team are facing at the moment? (If any at all!)
Not a challenge but it would be nice if we could clone a few of us so we could be in two places at once 🙂 I noticed someone asked about our marketing team. We are in discussions with a CMO. I also am recruiting for two roles in the Corporate Affairs team - for a digitial marketing and communications associate. A lot of what we have done so far has been setting up the infrastructure, establishing a media presence, speaker opps, our strategy, branding, messaging etc. but as we are starting to get things in place and growing the team we will be ramping up acivities across a few fronts so a lot more to come!

Question(s):

how $qnt different from other competing tokens

Answer(s):

PCS
how $qnt different from other competing tokens
Well, we're not a blockchain firstly. Secondly, we don't limit how people connect (we're the only tech that has ANY:ANY interoperability). Thirdly we're enterprise grade allowing for enterprises to use multiple blockchains simultaneously as an Operating System.

We are talking to quite a number of exchanges and taking your feedback too. Our criteria is that they are reputable, preferably regulated. We have an approach that will be for Enterprises and for retail crypto users.
