Question(s):

"When will JP and co please provide a technical deepdive with code walkthrough on a working MAPP? What is your strategy to recruit open source community which in many ways is the lifeblood of cryptocurrency community? How is the TechStars relationship progressing and when can we expect more startup ecosystem-oriented news? What is the completion progress of technical documentation on the developer portal? When will roadmap be published?"

Answer(s):

We have already been doing deepdives with customers to show how easy it is to get started with Overledger. We're going to make videos and webinars on how to create mApps - we're revamping overledger.com which is going to be the main site to get all the detail and information from. This includes technical documentation, FAQs, API documentation, Presentations etc.

Question(s):

Answer(s):

Yes it has already been announced on their end. We're making our announcement tomorrow - but here it is:

We've partnered with AUCloud, sister company to UKCloud, to launch Overledger-as-a-Service

It's a start of our strategy to allow for anyone to start using multiple blockchains as a service in less than 8 minutes and with just 3 lines of code. We're going to expand our multi-cloud offering and are in talks with further partners coming up

Question(s):

In regards to this recent partnership and future clients, how is the team engaging with customers without a finalized tokenomics model? How do they - the entrerprise know what they are paying?

Answer(s):

Luke

Good question. The price comes down to the final procurement stages. Right now we're actively talking to customers and getting them signed up and started using Overledger. The model is based on usage and volume they push through the platform which they all understand and know. We have 67 organisations registered with us as of today.

Question(s):

@gverdian , congratulations. When do you envisage that enterprise and companies will begin utilising overledger? I assume a lot of this is testing at the moment.

Some already are. It's a matter of time until they move to live production

Question(s):

Not seen many questions for next AMA so will post a few (first one can be cut down i just put in more info for context) Q1. Has your team any plans to join INTEROPen? Going from list of members as well as recent announcements such as EMIS being allowed to move 40 million uk patient records to AWS, EMIS recently acquiring Dovetail lab who currently provide blockchain solutions for the NHS (which i believe you know the founder) http://www.interopen.org/our-members/ The aim of EMIS-X, the firm said, is to improve data sharing within the health service, as well as meeting interoperability standards required by NHS Digital. "Clinicians working in any location with any third-party technology will be able to view and share vital patient information safely and ethically," the firm said. - Source https://www.theregister.co.uk/2018/11/30/emis_x_aws_nhs/ "Dovetail Lab is a health technology startup which has recently become part of EMIS Group PLC. We are building a network for sharing patient data between digital health products and services. We are leveraging the latest, cutting edge tech to deliver products that are going to substantially disrupt the healthcare tech industry. We are looking for an experienced software developer to join our teams building our blockchain platform." - source https://www.cwjobs.co.uk/job/blockchain-developer/emis-group-job84370604 Q2. Out of your clients so far, what would you say the most popular ledgers that they are using Bitcoin, Ethereum, Ripple, Hyperledger, Quorum and IOTA? Q3. For clients using Overledger with Ripple and utilising Interledger, what do they see as the main benefits for doing this? Q4. Who would you say your biggest competitor is?

Thank you, I know the founders of Dovetail really well, we've spoken a few times at specific events in london. We do complement what they're trying to do. One of the announcements we'll be making in the new year is Overledger Health. A specific version just for healthcare to solve healthcare challenges.

Question(s):

#AMA I know it's probably pretty annoying by now but any word exchanges? 2 exchanges still on track for this month?

Answer(s):

David
#AMA I know it's probably pretty annoying by now but any word exchanges? 2 exchanges still on track for this month?
We have 2 top 10 exchanges lined up, 1 OTC confirmed (contract in hand), 2 smaller exchanges. We're just working out the timing and sequence. The market conditions need to be factored in too.

Question(s):

With the recent AWS Blockchain integration service being launched and the potential for them to pull in large amounts of business - is the team worried at all about the competition, or do you think the interopability angle will differentiate Quant enough to not cause a worrying impact?

No, this is a very positive development. Overledger sits on top of AWS Blockchain, as they are hosting the nodes, we abstract the blockchains through Overledger's BPIs. It compliments us nicely. Unfortunately they only have Hyperledger currently but will expand to host other blockchains.

Question(s):

Mr. Verdian, considering gaming and e-sports as one of biggest sectors to push into crypto use massification, are there companies or projects approaching overledger? or do you see benefits for use case?

Yes we're currently using AWS for our BPI gateways, we're starting talks with AWS and other cloud providers to take this further

Question(s):

"Regarding the FCA Sandbox have you had confirmation that you are in the cohort 5 group for testing? What sort of rough timelines would you expect to be able to achieve a FCA license?"

Luke
"Regarding the FCA Sandbox have you had confirmation that you are in the cohort 5 group for testing? What sort of rough timelines would you expect to be able to achieve a FCA license?"
We have applied for the new cohort for a new RegTech product powered by Overledger - applications closed on the 30th November. Fingers crossed.

Question(s):

Have you begun work on how you will migrate from aws to hyper distributed across blockchains?

Answer(s):

Instinct

We will eventually be going across multiple distrbuted blockchains - the Qoogle demonstration showed what's possible. It's a longer term goal we're working towards.

Agree. We've built the tech to be agnostic, it can use any cloud provider and backend.

Question(s):

Information / Announcement

Answer(s):

On that note we are responding to 2 calls by the US Government. One for DARPA and the other for Homeland Security. Let's see how they go 🙂

Question(s):

Answer(s):

Luke
"Supply chain is a great use case for Quant, are you already developing or is an enterprise already developing something related to supply chain on Overledger? Thank you."
We're interconnecting supply chain technologies. We don't have a live supply chain engagement we're working on with a client currently.

Question(s):

Now that you guys have launched the Overledger officially and are working with clients ongoingly, what are your plans for marketing the ease and accessibility of the Overledger system? Will you be taking a much more widespread approach, or keeping it interconnected - word of mouth etc.?

That is our entire focus now to market the benefits of Overledger to a wider audience. We have a good strategy and are just getting starting. Expect a lot more from us.

Yes, especially more on the Social media side

Question(s):

Gilbert Verdian
Yes, especially more on the Social media side
Thank you! Had a few people asking about the marketing side this week - appreciate the info!

Answer(s):

We have the working technology with real world use. It's very easy now to show people because it's live and in production. We really didn't want to market too much before, when the technology wasn't ready. We're being realistic.

"How does the QNT license work with treaty-contracts? Will the bytecode produced require QNT be held by the associated account?"
A bit early to say. We've figured out a way to fastrack Treaty Contracts to earlier than what we planned. We're excited that we can deliver this much needed technology early. Multi-chain Smart Contracts!

Counting on it! "Qoogle" was just a play of words to show what's possible. Happy to get a call from Google and talk to them about Overledger and sign them up 🙂

Not concerned what any of these spreadsheets or analysts say. Most of them have now gone away and cleared up the blockchain space which is positive.

We're now migrating GoVerify into a mApp to use Overledger for a client. Focusing the team on that and client engagements. Have quite a few meetings until the end of the month.
