Can someone ask following question for me later: what's the mapp quant is intending to build as a proof of concept, and when can we expect this to go live?
We have a few in the works but GoVerify will be the first.

Question(s):

- Does $QNT fulfill the criteria to list on Coinbase? (they have provided the guidelines on their blog to list new promosing coins) - Middle East and India can be the big markets for $QNT. Any plans for any marketing events or promotions there?

Gilbert shared that he has made contact with Coinbase and now we are waiting their response/feedback. Re: We are currently in the process of firming up our 2019 engagement plans and we are looking and some speaking opps and conferences in that in region. We’ll share more once we have finalized.

Question(s):

"Do you foresee any scalability issues, and if so, how are they planning to resolve them?"

Answer(s):

Luke
"Do you foresee any scalability issues, and if so, how are they planning to resolve them?"
In relation to Overledger? No as scalability is one of our strengths - the way we have designed Overledger is perfect for any scale implementation from small projects or major enterprises.

Question(s):

"I have a question for the team which is when will the team publish the overledger SDK to NPM for easy integration into JavaScript app?"

Question(s):

Hi Gil, hi Lou. Good day to you all. Any relationship with the Concurrent Systems Research Group?

Answer(s):

Is that the Cambridge team? They’re asked us to participate in their new survey

Question(s):

Australian team working on Red Belly, recently completed a trial with IBM/Data61/UoS

Answer(s):

Ghost of St. Miklos
Australian team working on Red Belly, recently completed a trial with IBM/Data61/UoS
We know the Data61/CSIRO team personally who worked on this. We also have started experimenting with Red Belly in Quant Labs. We’ll connect it up to Overledger to give our customers a choice of a very fast blockchain to use

Question(s):

What do you see as the biggest advantages and what are the biggest difficutlies qnt is encountering in selling your solutions?

Answer(s):

Biggest advantage of Overledger is that we give Enterprises and Developers Choice to not rely on a single blockchain. We allow you to safely and easily have better resilience, more options and no lock-in to technology or vendors.

Question(s):

Can you give us any clarification on your marketing strategy? How large is Alchemmy's role in marketing to enterprises and are you planning on extending your marketing further and potentially into the 'Crypto' Space?

Answer(s):

Alchemmy is a strategic partner which are doing joint engagements with. We have a bid for a large Canadian Law firm we’re talking to. Our approach is to run the Blockchain factory where we help identify the client’s problem and use our technology to develop the solution for them.

Question(s):

Hi Gilbert, you mentioned abbott and pfizer a while back. I was wondering what use cases were explored back then. Was the focus mainly supply chain of pharmaceuticals or any other use cases as well like quality assurance, data integrity of quality control etc.

No, didn’t know about this. Thank you for sharing. We’ll follow up with J&J. We have team members who’ve worked at J&J in the past.

Question(s):

do the exchanges you're in contact with have higher liquidity than Idex?

Answer(s):

Daniel
do the exchanges you're in contact with have higher liquidity than Idex?
Yes. We said we’ll be on 2-3 more exchanges by the end of the year

Question(s):

(No Question was found)

Answer(s):

It’s something we’ve discussed a few times. We’re leaving it open for developers and enterprise to set this. We haven’t finalised Quant’s Treasury function, now that the SDK is out, that’s what our focus is now.

Question(s):

Are Mapps paid for only with QNT or can enterprises use fiat?

Answer(s):

Daniel
Are Mapps paid for only with QNT or can enterprises use fiat?
You can’t pay for MApps with QNT, it’s not a payment token. You pay for MApps through a payment processor in FIAT or Cryptocurrencies (ETH/BTC etc). It’s to make it adoptable for our different types of customers. You need to hold QNT to access the MApp Store and ecosystem to be able to run MApps

Exactly. All users and devs need to hold QNT to run and develop MApps.

Question(s):

Does the amount of QNT needed to run a Mapp vary per Mapp and does the QNT get burned every time a Mapp or used or how does it work? Any yellowpaper/whitepaper around how it works?

Answer(s):

Daniel

We want to leave that option open for developers to set those rules.

Question(s):

Yes we’ll release that in October

Question(s):

(No Question was found)

Answer(s):

Yes we plan to. We’ve been talking to a US Bank which we’ll be able to announce this month. It’s a great collaboration in Financial Services

Answer(s):

Ghost of St. Miklos
How did Blockchain Live go for you all?
Blockchain Live was great. We met @robtop87 in real life! We also go quite a few leads with customers in banking and government. We’re going to meet the Government department next week and arrange the bank meetings too. One of the big french banks knew of Overledger in great detail and invited us to come to Paris to meet their team

So many of the talks and comments by corporates at Blockchainlive was about their challenges with Interoperability. They just don’t know which blockchain to commit to and they don’t want to be stuck with one. We solve that elegantly for enterprises.

Question(s):

"Blockchain Brad had mentioned that he had reached out to you to do a follow up video (since the first AMA has been viewed numerous times on YouTube) - do you think you would be able to find time to pursue this? It would provide great insight and an awesome update on the project!"

Yep, we’ve been in touch and will be doing our AMA with Brad. He’s such a good guy in the industry. Highly respected and genuine.

Question(s):

Information / Announcement

Answer(s):

If anyone is interested, we’re sponsoring the London Fraud Forum tomorrow and talking about GoVerify to banks. Come along! https://www.londonfraudforum.co.uk/conference-2018-overview/

Question(s):

Information / Announcement

Answer(s):

We’ve only just begun with the connectors, we’re looking at the next batch of blockchains to connect to for the next update. Around November we’ll be opening up our BPI (Blockchain Programming Interface).

Question(s):

Gilbert Verdian

Does Goverify include building a publicly auditable directory of banks/institutions? Do you give them a public/priv keypair that people sign messages with?

Answer(s):

Ghost of St. Miklos
Does Goverify include building a publicly auditable directory of banks/institutions? Do you give them a public/priv keypair that people sign messages with?
It’s a bit more to it. The plan for GoVerify is to have an independent trusted 3rd party that people can trust who will verify the organisations contacting them are genuine. We can work out how much transparency the banks want to show.

Question(s):

How intense is the process of connecting a new chain? Are we talking days, weeks, a month+? Is the process similar or completely different each time?

Answer(s):

Luke
How intense is the process of connecting a new chain? Are we talking days, weeks, a month+? Is the process similar or completely different each time?
Depends no the chain. We’ve done the hard ones first. The rest should be fairly straight forward as they’re based on the 1st generation of chains. Eg Stellar should be quite similar to Ripple.

Question(s):

AMA: have you considered creating an Overledger API that connects with Zapier, as a gateway to 1000s of developers and enterprises? It would enable many apps to interconnect with Overledger. A pivot-concept, but one that would attract lots of fresh new eyes on the SDK and Qaunt Network? Plus adds utility - app to blockchain connectivity, then perhaps onwards via connectors.

Answer(s):

Yes that could be done easily with our BPI. We love automation and increasing the use of Overledger across different stacks. IFTTT/Zapier are a natural connection to Overledger, we treat them as an existing network

We actively listen to your ideas and feedback. If you have more technical questions please feel free to become a developer and ask in the forums there. https://developer.quant.network

Question(s):

AMA/Zapier concept - here are some examples. The API hook-up process with Zapier takes less than a week with them...

We’re got our Meetup set up, the first event will be in November and we’ll hold much more meetings with developers to start engagement. We’re also talking to techstars to start holding hackathons

Question(s):

@gverdian the token model in which users have to hold qnt to access the store works for enterprises, but won't for retail (or do you expect any user to buy qnt from an exchange before using your mapp) - what's your take on this?

Good question. Yes we expect users to also buy and hold QNT

That's not a viable model, since it's a very high threshold for adaption in my opinion

It really depends on the MApp and the price the developers want to charge. We’re going through User Journeys as part of the Treasury thinking to make sure it works well for all parties.

Easy access is the foundation of a good user experience. This needs to be addressed, since it's fundamentally important to understand the token value proposition

Yes 100% agree. We’ve done user journeys for global corporations and government to make the experience seamless. We want to find the right approach for our customers

You seem to ask the same question every week - are you subscribed to our announcement channel?

Question(s):

Loucineh

Yes I am, and yes I ask the question on a frequent base. Since I am in this channel for months, and remember that September more than one fortune 500 partners would be revealed. As well as that there was singed a MOU back months and we never heard of it. I've watched all AMA's and I am just so excited about what all those great partners will be. Also with the SDK being out, it seems to be more likely. I've been here from the beginning, watched all of it, waited, I am just very excited since it is (hopefully) coming closer.

The MOU for the GLBC which we announced last week.

Question(s):

@gverdian I remember a target for Q4 this year would be revealing some Mapps Quant has been working on themselves. is this still a realistic target?

@gverdian I remember a target for Q4 this year would be revealing some Mapps Quant has been working on themselves. is this still a realistic target?
We’re working on it. We developing some new Blockchain Infrastructure on top of Overledger which people can start using. Aiming for Q4 for these which are a good example of the technology.

Question(s):

Answer(s):

None
can we expect a new exchange soon ?
As we have said expect another 2-3 by the end of the year. Thanks

Question(s):

Quant Network team was approchaed by 5 exchanges in the last 4 weeks. Teams are in discussion with London Block Exchange, Huobi, Cybex, Hotbit and HitBTC. We will keep you updated, all in line with FINMA regulations. Since then 4 more exchanges have approached us now.
@gverdian Question from my side. This is a very old post, what changed back then that those listings didn't happen or got postponed ?

@gverdian Question from my side. This is a very old post, what changed back then that those listings didn't happen or got postponed ?
Which post? If it was in regards to exchanges contacting us - it’s pretty straightforward. 1) In all of Gilbert’s early interviews he explained that as a utility we could pursue listing unless there was significant demand 2) we shared the number and names of the exchanges contacting us to show there was a demand but we were still cautious and waited for the all-clear from our lawyers before pursuing. Regardless, all we have ever shared is that these exchanges were interested - nothing further.

I was giving the background on why we communicated those who contacted us. There isn’t much more I can say on the specific exchanges because as you would know most exchanges require NDAs until the time of listing. We’ve explained our approach on how we are assessing the best ones for our stakeholders and we’ve said 2-3 by the end of the year.

Question(s):

Hi Loucineh, Id like to report a couple of bugs on the new website: - footer navigation links are not clickable when viewed on mobile device - some typos and missing punctuation on https://www.quant.network/our-vision/ Thanks!

Answer(s):

Thanks, I’ll get those fixed. We are still making updates as well 😊
